LOS QUINCE – 1 YEAR 7 MO. 7 DAYS

I had the pleasure of attending my fourth quinceñera on the 2nd. This one was held at a pavilion in the center of the community.

Seated at the table, I took in the view of the room. I still can’t believe how large these types of celebrations can be. Even when the family has little money, the party still rages on into the early morning with drink, food and, of course, dancing.

Often times, this celebration is larger than what the young woman will experience on her wedding day.

This last one, for example, was prepped for around 200 people. There were tables covered in pink cloth, center pieces, champagne, pistachios (!)… etc.

Loved it.
